Want to hear a cool self-care fact??
Did you know that it is physically easier to relax when you’re warm? I didn’t, that’s for sure.
I tend to always be hot, even in the winter. Because of this, I often tend not to gravitate towards hot things (saunas, hot yoga, hot beverages). But, when I learned this, it really opened my eyes up to some new possibilities! Hot showers, hot baths, and wrapping myself up in a blanket have become some of my go-to self-care activates, and I love them! However, these activities aren’t always convenient. I can’t exactly go have a hot shower in the middle of a hectic day at work. So I looked for alternative ways to warm my body temperature at work to help keep me calm and at my best.
I bought the Refresh Rose tea from Self Love Supply to keep in my office at work. This has been amazing to have on hand for times when I just need to slow down and take some time for myself. It has this unique floral scent and taste; even smelling the dry tea leaves has a calming effect on me!
While I love my work, sometimes it can be pretty mentally tiring, so having things like this tea to keep in my office for those more difficult days is a paramount part of my self-care routine. I like to think that when it comes to self-care strategies, it is always better to have them and not need them, than to need them andnot have them.
This tea got me thinking, I wonder if you can put dry teat leaves in a bath… the thought of that relaxes meso much, I know what I’m doing after my next hard work day!
